I’m happy to announce that YO MAMA (aka YO MAMA’S HOUSE Cooperative) is now YO MAMA’S HOUSE, INC.*  

After 13 years, A CHANGE HAD TO HAPPEN. This wasn’t an easy decision. I wanted to serve more MOTHERS and gather women from more ethnic communities. I wanted to reach and serve the needs of aging women of color, the onset of health and ability challenges, with Ancestral wisdom and medicinal practices that support Black Women.

I also wanted to grow as an artist. I did not identify as an artist until I was 65 years old! Time is not promised or static! I am experiencing a creative surge and am being invited (with support and resources) into my wildest dreams as an artist. I love a good adventure!

YO MAMA’S HOUSE, INC. will continue to serve more women as artist, activist and healers. YO MAMA’S HOUSE, INC. will continue its  mission is to empower mothers by disrupting the devaluation of women’s visible and invisible labor and showcasing their mastery of the art of mothering, and traditional women’s work that transforms into daily artistic practices and increased economic security.
